Vemana Satakam - Chippabadda swatichinuku

Chippabadda swatichinuku mutyambayye
Nitabadda chinuku nita galise
Brapti galugu chota phalamela tappura
Visvadabhirama, Vinura Vema !

or

English Translation:
The rain drop that fell in the oyster shell became a pearl
The one that fell in water merged with water
If something is yours, you sure get it.
Beloved of the Bounteous, Vema, listen!

Meaning:
A raindrop falling in a pearl oyster during a particular season (Swati karti) turns into a pearl. A raindrop falling in a body of water becomes part of that water body. When one is ordained to receive what is due to oneself, one will not miss it.

Importance of place and time for any action or doing in life is emphasized in this verse. If only one is watchful and attends to one’s duty promptly, one gets the due reward or respect. Proper place and time are crucial for success in any attempt.
