Read Vs Study

Is "Reading a book" different from "Studying a book"? If your answer is yes, then you are absolutley correct. These words, read and study are often used in place of one another by many people but there is very slight difference between them.

"Read" means to interpret something that is written or printed. When you are reading something, it can be a casual thing; it is possible that you are not paying much attention and are just trying to get general idea of the text. Ex: I am reading a newspaper.

On the other hand "Study" means to consider in detail and subject to an analysis in order to discover/know essential features or meaning. i.e, Studying is reading for a purpose to gain indepth information, so more focus and attention is needed on the actual content. Ex: I am studying for my entrance exam.

I hope from now, you would be using these words carefully. If you have any such words, please feel free to share them.

English Translation:
Birth of Rama alone in Ravi Dynasty, made it illustrious
Lord of Kauravas' (Duryodana) birth destroyed (kuru) dynasty
On earth, virtuous deeds and sins result like this at the end
Beloved of the Bounteous, Vema, listen!

When virtuous children are born, they bring credit to the family. But when children with bad character are born, they bring the entire dynasty into disrepute.

Dell Laptops - Lollipop

The new commercial "Treats" launched by Dell is simply imaginary and creative. The commercial uses a popular song "Lollipop" which was originally written by Julius Dixon and Beverly Ross in 1958 for the duo Ronald & Ruby. For your easy reference, I've included the commercial and the lyrics.

Lollipop, lollipop, oh lolli lolli lolli, lollipop
.....POP.....
bum bum,bumbum,
Call my baby lollipop
tell you why
her kiss is sweeter then a cherry pie
and when she does it, shake it,rock, and dance
man I haven't gotta chance
I call her -
lollipop,lollipop,oh lolli lolli lolli
lollipop(POP), Dum, Dum Dum Dum, Dum

Incase you are not aware, Dell's Inspiron laptops come in 7 different vibrant colors - Black, White, Green, Pink, Blue, Violet and Green. Look at them how cool they are....
