Nursery Rhymes

The other day, I was just browsing audio files and accidentally came across the tune “Twinkle Twinkle Little star…..”, I could not resist myself and heard it completely. If not most of them, at least some would do the same or probably would have started reciting it.

If am not wrong, almost every child is brought up with these rhymes. Wondered why? It’s simple, these rhymes automatically make learning simple and fun for children by hearing, chanting, learning and playing. It is believed that the children who get involved with activities related to nursery rhymes can express themselves better and can quickly learn things.

Also, if you keenly notice, you can find that some the rhymes have some hidden message -- which can be a tradition or some moral values etc. These were written in a short – rhythmic patter for the children to learn even without realizing.

Did you ever know that some rhymes have history associated with it? Just in case you are interested, refer below links that mention about the history of the rhymes.
