La Jolla, San Diego, CA

California has quite a number of good places that are worth visiting. One such place is La Jolla.
La Jolla is pronounced as “La Hoya” and
in Spanish it means “The Jewel” , hence known as “The Jewel of San Diego”. It is a beautiful city located on Pacific Ocean and is only 15 minutes away from San Diego - downtown. The city has wonderful beach, galleries, streets, and restaurants.

You have very pleasant walkways from where you can admire the scenic beauty of the ocean.

The walk way at Seal Beach is very good place to experience the splashes of the water along with the view of the seals and the ocean.

Further, if you just take the stairs down you can experience the clear water and views of the cliffs. The beach is eco friendly and you would come across a warning board signs that say not to even pick up stones, shells etc.

Apart from this, you can just have a walk on the streets and drive across the city to enjoy some of the hidden beauty of the houses, vista points, restaurants, galleries, boutiques etc.

You can have a look at some more photographs at http://picasaweb.google.com/shruthiponnala/LaJollaSanDiego

If you are visiting San Diego, this place is worth visiting and also if you stay near by and haven't seen this place yet..i would suggest you to go on drive to this location but be prepared for finding a place for parking as on sunny day...it would be tough to find one....
